McConnel's novel, Sing Soft, Sing Loud, is autobiographical fiction based on her experiences as a prisoner.

About the author

Patricia McConnel has published two books with major publishers and many articles and short stories. Her fiction has appeared in eight anthologies and she has received two creative writing fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts.
